Things to do In St Pete Beach During your Stay!

Where To Eat:

Saint Pete Beach offers a myriad of dining options, and here are a few of our top picks. Remember, Indian Rocks Beach, Treasure Island, and Clearwater are just 5-20 miles away, providing even more restaurant and bar choices if you’re seeking a change of scenery.

Coconut Charlies

Coconut Charlies is our favorite restaurant in Saint Pete Beach. Their seafood is outstanding, especially the coconut-crusted shrimp and blackened fish. The calamari is incredibly fresh, the brussel sprouts are full of flavor, and the fish is simply to die for. The cocktail menu is impressive, and we highly recommend anything with muddled fruit!

Grand Hacienda

For those craving Mexican cuisine, Grand Hacienda is the place to go! Located right on the beach strip, their chips, queso, and guacamole are irresistible. The Los Cabos nachos, loaded with calamari, fish, and shrimp, are a personal favorite. Their $10 margaritas are a must-try, especially the frozen raspberry. The churros with ice cream are a perfect sweet treat.

Crabby Bills

Crabby Bills, a well-known family-owned restaurant since 1983, offers a homey atmosphere and the best Bahama Mamas in town. With stunning rooftop views of the beach, it’s the perfect spot for happy hour. The menu is extensive, with the crab cake, calamari, shrimp alfredo, and grouper being standout dishes. The chocolate-crusted pie is a must-try, even for those who usually skip dessert!

Cabanas

Located in Clearwater, Cabanas offers the best crab cake we’ve ever had. The seafood tacos with pineapple slaw and the french fries are also fantastic. The cocktail menu is extensive, with the blueberry vodka lemonade being a personal favorite. It’s worth the trip for the delicious food and waterfront views.

Tiki Docks

Tiki Docks offers delicious food with a lively atmosphere. The coconut rice mixed with chicken, pepper jack, bacon, and pineapple salsa is amazing, and the french fries are a must-try. With great views of the marina and a large bar area, this restaurant gives off perfect family vacation vibes.

Sea Breeze

Sea Breeze in Indian Rocks Beach offers breathtaking marina views and delicious food. The grouper, whether grilled over salad or coconut-crusted with mango salsa, is incredible. The portions are generous, so be prepared for leftovers. The chocolate cake lives up to the manager’s hype!

Spinners Rooftop

Spinners Rooftop, atop The Bellwether Hotel, offers a chic dining experience with rotating views of the city. It’s the perfect place for a sunset dinner. The crab cake, blackened grouper, and bread basket are all excellent choices. The strawberry martini from the “secret” menu is a standout. Dress up a bit for this special occasion spot.

Buoys

Buoys offers a unique menu with a bit of everything—pork, fish, chicken, steak, all with interesting twists. The drinks are great, and the tucked-away location provides beautiful views. The service here is exceptional, making it a must-visit spot in Saint Pete!

Caddys

Caddys, located on the marina side, offers a lively atmosphere and delicious food. The California Burger is spicy and pairs perfectly with a Strawberry Daiquiri. The grouper nuggets are freshly caught and crisped to perfection. With several locations, each offering a unique vibe, Caddys is a must-visit.

Ice & Cream

Ice & Cream is our favorite ice cream spot in town. The mint Oreo and mermaid flavors are top picks. Though ice cream prices are high in town, this place offers the best value for your money.

Larrys

Larry’s is another popular ice cream spot with a mean cookies & cream in a waffle cone. The cute outdoor seating area makes it a great evening hangout spot.

Where To Go Out:

Saint Petersburg and Tampa offer vibrant nightlife, perfect for postgrad twenty-somethings. With Eckerd College, the University of Tampa, and the University of South Florida nearby, the area is full of young people and lively bars.

On The Beach

Going out on the beach is a favorite. Saint Pete Beach isn’t known for wild nightlife but offers a relaxed, less crowded atmosphere. Top spots include Jimmy Bs, Post Card Inn, Under Tow, Toasted Monkey, and the Drunken Clam. Hurricane’s in Pass A Grille offers amazing beach and marina views and strong $7 drinks. There’s nothing better than wearing jean shorts and a bikini to the bar and walking home after a few drinks!

Downtown Saint Pete

Downtown Saint Pete is the place to be, especially on weekends. The two-block strip offers bar after bar and a few pizza shops. It’s rowdier and pricier, but favorites include Welcome To The Farm, Mandarin Hyde, Crafty Squirrel, and Cane & Barrel.

Tampa

Tampa is a bit farther but worth the trip. SOHO is great for a younger crowd, with $6 vodka pineapples and a fun atmosphere. The Wharf offers outdoor drinking areas with Bay views. Southern Belles is a fantastic country-themed bar.
